I'm quickly sharing a card I made for three challenges. Yep, another one that combines three challenges. The orange and yellow is for the Stamp TV color challenge, the piercing is for the Flourishes challenge, and the layout of the card is using the Weekend Sketch (WSC77). I pierced the corners using a very old template not even intended for piercing. I added some rhinestones to the design. Here's the card. Enjoy and thanks for looking. ( The bedroom redecorating/ home repairs are still taking up A LOT of my time, so my posting is limited for now.)

The fantasy

I've been having fantasies of making cards, but I've had no time to stamp! LOL The Caardvarks theme for the latest challenge was "fantasy". I finally got my High Hopes stamps- (it took over a month, and they had to ship twice because I did not receive the first package, but they were nice enough to send me double the stamps I ordered for the wait. I love my new stamps and I will order from them again. I used one of them for this theme and had so much fun coloring the dragon. )

Oops, I digressed. I finally got around to making a card. I made this one to also fit the High Hopes challenge this week and used the sketch from CPS. The High Hopes challenge was piercing, which I love to do! Here' s the card:

Mojo sketch card

I just got around to making a card for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge. I used K&C0. Wild Raspberry papers for this one. The stamps are from Garden Delights by Inkadinkdao. I colored them with my Marvy Markers before stamping. I colored the image on the left with rose pink and light green and them I "thumped" on some pink and green. On the image on the right, I used a base of pink and light green and "thumped" on some orange and green. I chalked around the edges of the cardstock and the images with some pink chalk. The Happy Mother's Day sentiment is by Studio G. The rhinestone flowers are from Michael's by Darice. I just picked up those today. I actually picked up a lot of little embellies- it's hard to know when to quit when they are only a dollar, but boy, those dollars add up! Good thing I had that discount coupon. If I'm not back to post before, I hope you have a blessed and Happy Easter!

Weekend Sketch Set

If you follow Scrapnextras, you know that Laura does these amazing card sets based on some popular weekly sketches. I decided that I wanted to try this, so in between all the painting Saturday and Sunday, I managed to pull this off. I used a brand new paper pack that I purchased last week- K& Co. wild raspberry. I am in love with these papers. Here are my cards:

This one is based on Weekend Sketch challenge which was hosted by M.J. Albright. Notice the ribbon slide- it's a can tab from a Monster energy drink.

A Rose for you

Happy Saturday morning! I hope you have a great day. We will be continuing the home/ bedroom redo project- painting- so maybe in between coats I'll get to make a few cards. The card you see above involves no stamping. Actually, I did stamp an image and didn't like it, so I pulled the die cut out and covered it up. This card is made with Basic Grey sugared papers. You can get them from KL Stampin N Scrappin Store. Right now they are offering some awesome blog candy on their blog. To enter, you must make a project using items sold in their store. I cut my circles with Nestabilities circle and scallop circle dies, which they also carry.

I used this week's sketch from CPS as the layout for this card.

Walking - Friday Feature

It's National Walk to Work Day. U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Tommy G. Thompson declared the first National Walk to Work Day as April 2, 2004. With obesity and sedentary lifestyles growing at an alarming rate, National Walk to Work Day was initiated to draw attention to the need to get out and exercise, and to get in shape.

On this day, Americans are encouraged to walk to work. If you can't walk to work, walk during lunch time, or another time of the day. The goal is to walk 30 minutes a day. Health officials are hoping this will encourage people to add a 30 minute walk to their daily lives. Health officials, medical agencies, and medical organizations around the country state that a 30 minute walk will significantly improve you health. The benefits are many, including lower weight, less chance of heart disease, less risk of diabetes, and much more. This translates to a longer and healthier life. (excerpt from Holiday Insights)

What girl doesn't love a new Easter outfit, and even better, a new purse to match?! For the Verve Project parade, the requirement is to create "an egg-stra special" spring project or card. I created this cute little purse, which can be a card or treat holder. It would be easy to slip in a cello bag to hold a treat. Check out the project parade it you haven't. I just love looking at all the awesome projects the design team creates.
