For Someone Special

The challenge this week at OCC was to make an anniversary card inspired by the recipient's year. This was the perfect challenge for me (even thought I'm sliding in at the last minute) as I need a card for my brother's fifth anniversary next week. I chose to go with the flower for year five- the daisy. I used a daisy image from Flourishes and some photo paper of daisies as they have a "picture it" challenge this week. I based the layout of the card on the sketch at Creative Card Crew . I'm also submitting this for Cute Card Thursday as my brother is someone special and for Stamp Something as this is a celebration of his anniversary. Thanks for looking!

XOXO for Mom and flowers too...

Happy Monday! This one is a happy one because I'm enjoying a day off from work. And of course part of the day's activities include making a card. This one is for the Tiddly Inks challenge using a Tiddly Ink image colored with copics. I used the sketch from Stamp Something as my layout but rotated the sketch. I've also used a digi image with flowers for Dare U to Digi and this one fits the theme at The Pink Elephant - Mommy, I Love You and I did some stitching for Stampin Sisters in Christ. Girly with flowers

I've made this card using a sweet image from Karen's Doodle's which I think is perfect for Mother's Day (what Mother's heart wouldn't melt over this sweet little girl?) and based the layout on Pixie Cottage's sketch . I didn't quite get the sketch right and didn't notice until I had already cut my paper, but it's still close. I've also fit in the Charisma Cards girly with flowers theme and I made one of my flowers with dies and punches for the Cute Card Thursday challenge . Here it is:

Look honey... the grass blooms

We've been in this house for four springs now and never knew exactly what was already planted in the beds. We have this ornamental "grass" or so we thought. I came home last Wednesday and my husband pointed out that it blooms. I'm guessing it's an iris, although I've never seen them growing (at least I've never paid attention). Isn't this a beauty?

Thank you Mom

I've done more yardwork today and then came it to cool off and relax by making a card. This one uses the sketch at Anyone for Anya and one of the Darling Sisters from TGF.
