Beaded earrings - the final
Here's the final pair in my March Madness earring series. I've actually made an additional two pair, but I'll share those later.
I made these to go with a necklace I made for my mother last year. She had been asking for some matching earrings. For something similar you will need:
silver beads
white faceted (rondel ?) beads
round gemstone beads
jump rings
eye pins
head pins
earring wires
I question the name of some of my beads because I am not experienced enough with beads to remember the names. I started saving the packaging, but I don't have it for these.
String a silver bead and white faceted bead onto a head pin and make a wrapped loop at the top. String a round bead on an eye pin and make a loop at the top. Join those two units with a jump ring. Attach ear wires and enjoy.
Be sure to follow me to find out what I'm going to do with some of these earrings I've made this month. There just might be a giveaway in the works.

P52- Details
I skipped last week's P52 assignment. I couldn't find time to photograph anything that went with what I thought of for hunger. And I certainly wasn't thinking in terms of The Hunger Games- sorry that's one bandwagon I'm not on.
I'm late posting my shot for this week's theme - details. I was thinking of close ups, so I took a close up shot of one of my Easter bunnies so you could see the detail of her bonnet and flowers and the detail that makes her look "furry". I'm not happy with the shadows, but sometimes, you get what you get.

Easter vignette
I've been doing some Easter decorating. Hopefully I'll get the mantel completed this weekend. For now, I can share my sofa table vignette with you.
Friday feature- Lollys Cubby Hole
Happy Friday! Today I'd like to introduce you to Lolly's Cubby Hole, a cute shop filled with vintage, wedding and shower favors, and home decor.
Here are a couple of my favorite items:

Here are a couple of my favorite items:
And here's a little info about "Lolly":
LollysCubbyHole opened after I became "Lolly", to my first grandchild. Having to share the traditional name of “Grandma” with two others, I looked for a name that went nicely with “Poppi”, our chosen name in our family for Grandpa! Lolly and Poppi we became!
Life has a way of giving you changes, and when some came about in our lives, I wanted something to call my own and keep me busy. I began to look around for things worthy of becoming a treasure for our family's future and when that was completed, discovered, oh, so many things, I could not keep but should share with others. So with that, the CubbyHole came to life.

I would say that looking through my Vintage wares inspired me to open my Etsy Shop, but my creative side soon took over, so I now offer both, Lovingly owned Vintage items, dolls, books , hankies, etc., AND Lovingly Made Wedding and Bridal favors, Banners and Home décor items. My friends kept asking why I didn’t sell some of the things I made, so, Voila… I started doing just that!
Plus , I like the challenge of new requests as well!
Come by and visit the CubbyHole.
All are welcome and much appreciated!

Thanks for sharing about yourself, Lolly! I do love friends that aren't afraid to share their faith!

Easter and spring plates
I wanted to try my hand at some decorative plates, but I had certain colors in mind for spring. I found some beige Pier 1 Imports plates at Goodwill for 79 cents- yep, both of them for 79 cents. (I took a before picture, but can't find it now. Ever have those blunders?)
After much debate with my hubby about how to paint them, I chose some acrylic paints from Joann's. It was much too windy to spray paint when I first started this project, so I painted by hand. Since I wasn't going to eat off of these, I used regular acrylics. The debate with my hubby was over whether or not the paint would stick. It will- just be patient and wait for each coat to dry thoroughly before adding another or it will attempt to peel off. The pink plate was painted with Americana baby pink and the green with Delta ceramcoat lime sorbet. Each one was a little "flat" when I finished, so I applied a coat of Plaid varnish in satin finish to give them a little shine but not too much.
Once they were painted, I cut out some shapes with my Silhouette SD. All images are from Silhouette. I used vinyl for the bunny plate.
I used some scrapbook papers and Mod Podge for the Spring plate.
Here's a closer look at those birdies:
I'm pretty pleased with them. I'm using them as part of my Easter/spring mantel decor, which I'll reveal a little later.

Falling leaves
Hey! Welcome to all my new readers or followers. If any of you are new moms or know a new mom, then be sure to enter the Ruby Red Handmade onesie giveaway. That little darling will look so cute in one of those.
Today's earrings are just charming- pun intended. This pair is made from chain, charms and jumps rings. That's really all you need, other than your earring wires and pliers.

For each earring, I used approximately 1 1/4 inches of chain and seven leaf charms. I attached each charm to the chain with a jump ring, alternating side to side. I attached the earring wire to the top loop of the chain. That's it. Easy! I totally recommend this for someone just beginning to make jewelry. For a tutorial on the proper way to open and close jump rings, go HERE or HERE.

5 Anthro knock offs- Must Do Monday
I'm so glad there are crafters who can "knock off" those cute accessories that are out of my price range and/or available for only a short period of time, and are willing to share their tutorials. Here are 5 Anthro knock-offs that have been on my list for a while.

Earrings with a little color
Another pair of earrings in my March Madness earring posts. This set has a pop of color. To make these you will need:
textured rings
jump rings
earring wires
head pins
beads ( I used round beads and Crystazzi bicones)
Sorry I didn't take any photos of the steps along the way. I made most of these during my lunch breaks at work.
You will string each bead on a head pin and form a wrapped loop. As you are making your bead units, attach them to each other before completing the loops. Then take the top one and attach it to your textured loop with a jump ring. Attach the earring wire to the tops of the textured loops with another jump ring. Still pretty simple.

I thought this was an awesome giveaway and I'm sad more of you didn't enter. I'd like to get some feedback here on why you don't enter giveaways. I have won several myself. Sometimes I just don't have time to enter, so is that a reason? Too many things to do to enter? Would it be easier if there was only one way to enter? I'd really like your feedback.
